This series of illustrations was created for an exhibition at Hull's Streetlife Museum called 'Taking the Knee'. The exhibition was co-created with members of racially marginalised communities, Hull Museums and the University of Hull's Wilberforce Institute for Slavery and Emancipation. The exhibition explored the history of the 'taking the knee' pose and it's political connotations. The characters were displayed as cut-outs, around a metre tall, kneeling in front or their respective information panels.
